How to get to Sammasati

By plane: From Santiago to Temuco, direct flights, duration 1 hr-25 minutes.

From Temuco Airport to Pucón, via transfer, duration 60 minutes.

From Santiago to Pucón by land: JAC Buses (which we recommend for their safety and comfort) or TUR BUS, duration 10 hrs. Trips available every day, day and night. (JAC Buses: www.jac.cl, Turbus: www.turbus.cl)

Note: JAC Buses offers a Premium class with comfortable beds and Salon Cama class with reclining seats up to 80%. Therefore, traveling by JAC Bus is simpler, more comfortable, and more direct than by plane: this is ONLY a suggestion!

Border crossing from Argentina: From Mamuil Malal pass to Pucón it takes 1 hr and 30 minutes, 75 km, Route 199.

By taxi/uber or private car, following these instructions:   
 
To get to Sammasati you have to take the road to the volcano “Camino al Volcano”, to where there is a green sign on the right that says “Los Riscos Curimanque” and turn right along that paved road.
 
Cross a wooden bridge, continue advancing quite a bit. Pass some 
wooden sculptures on your left, until you find a sign on your right that says Dead End Road with a Stop disc and a Sammasati sign. 
 
Enter that dirt road to the right and continue moving forward. You will see entrances to particular plots, you will pass a sinkhole on the way, continue ahead guided by the signage that says Sammasati. Continue until a metal gate. Cross the gate, it opens manually. Open and leave closed. Continue until you reach an entrance with a steep concrete path to Sammasati…Welcome!!
